Your Plan or God's Purpose?

Writer: Enduring LegacyEnduring Legacy

Many plans are in a man's mind, but it is the Lord's purpose for him that will stand.

(Proverbs 19:21 AMPC)

Can you believe we are nearing the year of 2021? Traditionally, it is at the beginning of the year that we make so many plans. Unfortunately, a lot of them are never realized. Have you ever made plans and they all fell through? I know I have. Of course, initially there is a feeling of disappointment especially when you are positive this was the path to take. And yes, finding peace about a plan being derailed can be illusive. It can take a while for us to realize maybe this was not really the best choice to make after all. Well, be encouraged! God has a plan for your life if you trust Him. SO WHAT if that thing you had your heart set on did not work out! You can be sure that God’s purpose for your life will stand and will not be aborted if you continue to have faith in Him. God said, “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not to abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” (Jeremiah 29:11 MSG) Praise God! Do not fret about missed opportunities, unfulfilled plans, or even bad decisions. Remember God was with you then, He is with you now, and He is already in the future waiting for you to get there because He wants to do you good. That is a promise.

My confession for today: God’s GOOD plan for me is settled in Heaven. It shall come to pass. Amen!
